Symposium Collaboration in Outsourcing

23 July: End of our trip
Today we landed on Schiphol airport, ending our studytrip to India. In the three cities we visited we have seen amazing things. The difference in culture has made a deep impact on us. Visiting the different companies has given us a better understanding of how collaboration in outsourcing influences the way business is done in India.
Now that we are home we will collect some more pictures and place them on the website, there may also appear some additional blog entries, so please come back in a while and check out the latest entries.
16 July: Bangalore and a new face!
We are now in Bangalore, where we will visit several companies such as SAP, Infosys, Patni, IBM, Philips, Logica and Cisco.
We have also welcomed Tanmay in our group! He is a future MBI student from New Delhi and we asked him to join us in Bangalore. We hope that he will be able to get familiar with us and we try to prepare him a little for the MBI. This will be our last week in India, so keep checking out our blog for the latest updates.
11 July: Going to Hyderabad
After hardly getting used to the hectic city life of Delhi, we are already moving on to our next destination; Hyderabad. In our blog you can find some pictures of our tour to Agra.
8 July: Takeoff!
Today our trip to India starts, after a short stop in Moscow we will fly to New Delhi. Here we will explore the city and visit the Dutch embassy, for pictures and stories of our experiences visit our blog.
29 June: Presentation Sogeti
This Tuesday, two outsourcing experts from Sogeti visited us to give a presentation about their experiences with outsourcing. They also related this to the different topics of the students, resulting in an interesting discussion. Here is a picture of the presentation:

22 June: Two weeks left
Two weeks left for Business Informatics summer school, which by no exaggeration will be a lifetime experience. Research projects have already progressed on the Dutch side of the outsourcing chain. Research questions are already in place and about to be answered by experts in the heart of offshore outsourcing. In India. An inter-cultural exciting moment of our student life is closer than ever.

4 June: Presentation Patni
Yesterday we had a very interesting presentation by Loek van den Boog and Frans Galema from Patni. They shared their experiences on doing business in India and the Indian business environment in general. It gave us a better understanding of what to expect when we will be visiting the various companies in India ourselves. With the trip getting closer, our enthusiasm is growing everyday!

20 January: First meetings
We have had our first couple meetings! Tasks have been handed out, dates have been set, everything is getting on the road. We found the flight we will be taking to India.
